MODULE 2 OBJECTIVES
At the end of Module 2, you should be able to:
 Describe site-preparation methods necessary to establish a silvopasture system
List at least three herbicides that can be used to eliminate competition from grasses and/or woody vegetation
Describe the importance of subsoiling and/or scalping for silvopasture establishment in existing pastureland
Describe the importance of proper spacing of trees and rows to maximize timber and non-timber components
Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of single, double, and triple rows of trees
